Sending $11,000 for Flood Repairs in Japan
Missionary Dean Bengtson and Pastor Wakamatsu, JLBC President, in the repaired sanctuary.
Heavy rains over the summer caused flooding in the region of Akita, Japan. This resulted in damage in both the church and parsonage of Pastor Wakamatsu, who serves as president of the Japanese Lutheran Brethren Church. Donors from both the JLBC and the CLBA have come together to contribute to repairs needed for both the church and the pastor’s home, showing a beautiful picture of solidarity. Thanks to generous donors, the CLB was able to send over $11,000 to assist with some of the expenses.
