Youth Worker Training at the 2020 Biennial Convention

We are thrilled to announce our plans for the 2020 Youth Worker Training that will happen at the Biennial Convention on June 13th. Over the last decade we have brought in a number of experts in youth ministry and we are glad to be able to do that again. This year we are bringing in Jonathan McKee who will get to speak to two topics related to teens and technology. In addition, youth workers will have an opportunity to network, to hear about additional opportunities that are available to them, and to get a preview of YC21.

There is no cost to attend, but we do ask that you RSVP on Facebook or send Mark Johannesen an email at [email protected] so we can plan accordingly for food.

Here is our Tentative Schedule:

Morning workshop (9/9:30 AM – Noon) – Helping Teens Become Smarter Than Their Smartphone

Youth Worker Lunch (Noon – 1:30)

Afternoon workshop (1:30-4:00) – Connecting with Overconnected Kids

Dinner Gathering (6 – 7:30) – To discuss informally tips/tools to be an effective communicator to today’s young people.
